The old body was in very poor condition, only good as a pattern and it turned out not even good for that!

The fuel tank was in very bad condition and not worth repairing, so a new one was fabricated.

Stainless steel cover Fabricated from 0.032” sheet for the sloping bulkhead and machine turned it.
The rear bulkhead
My original idea was to make the pickup shell and the aft cockpit cowl in two pieces but after I managed to Fabricated it in one piece, I cut-off this bulkhead.
Side straps
Made the body side straps from 0.063” stainless steel sheet and machine turned it.

Experimenting with beading, shrinking and stretching aluminum for the pickup structure.
